Bernard Tomic sends very direct and clear message to his 'haters'

Former world No. 17 Bernard Tomic has sent a very clear message to his "haters" as he is determined to get back to the upper echelon of tennis. Tomic, 29, won an ITF event in Cancun this past week after defeating Alexander Cozbinov in the final.

Tomic, who also won Cancun three weeks ago, has now won his last 10 matches and is coming off back-to-back ITF titles. "Thanks again for the support. F--- the haters, I'm gonna prove them wrong," Tomic wrote on his Instagram Story.

Tomic, who was ranked just outside the top-800 a few weeks ago, is now the 659th-ranked player in the world. After winning back-to-back titles in Cancun, Tomic shared an inspirational message. "There are no secrets to success.

It requires preparation, hard work, and learning from your mistakes," the message from the post read.

Tomic is fully committed and dedicated to the game

In the offseason, Tomic claimed he was done with "stupidity" and underlined his career was his top priority.

Also, Tomic admitted that there were mistakes on his part in the past. "I’ve had a lot of hate in my life. But I can’t give up. You don’t think I see the hate comments? It hurts," Tomic said in December.

“In the past I used to let it get to me and react out of stupidity. But now I’m using it as fuel. I’m back. I’m hungry, and I’m ready. No one can stop me now, but me. “I’m training, I’m sweating, I’m pushing, I’m fired up.

Whatever it takes to get back on top. Hard work pays off. I’ve put my blood sweat and tears into this sport. I have come back before. It’s time to set the record straight." It remains to be seen if Tomic can clinch more good results before the season ends.
