Tennis - Croatian tennis player Marin Cilic has pulled out of the US Open starting on August 26th. Cilic has not played since pulling out of his second round match at Wimbledon and is reportedly under investigation for a doping offence.
Cilic was expected to come back to the tour in Montreal but has not done so. There has been no word from the Cilic camp though his former coach Bob Brett did admit that the Croatian was under investigation for the doping offence.
Cilic is the second player to pull out of the US Open for a doping offence. Serbia's Viktor Troicki will also not play in New York after being banned for 18 months due to a doping offence. Jo Wilfried Tsonga has also pulled out of the US Open due to injury though.
