ATP Challenger - Spaniard Pablo Carreno-Busta wins 89th match of the year and third challenger in a row!!

Tennis - 21 year old Spaniard Pablo Carreno-Busta has won his third ATP Challenger title in a row on Sunday. The Spaniard beat Austrian Dominic Thiem 6-2 5-7 6-0 in the Como Challenger to extend his winning streak to 15 matches.

This was the Spaniard's incredible 89th match win of the year, when combining results from the ITF, ATP Challenger and ATP World Tour circuits. With this win, he is expected to rise to no. 68 in the world rankings - having started the year ranked outside the top 700.

Carreno-Busta did not make the cut for the ongoing US Open as the entries for tournaments are based on rankings from six weeks earlier. At that time, his ranking was not high enough to make the cut for Flushing Meadows.
