Coach Patrick Mouratoglou believes Jannik Sinner's game is "quite complete" as he thinks the Italian just needs to improve his mental game in order to elevate his game to a new level. Sinner, 21, is already an eight-time ATP champion and he has been ranked as high as No 9 in the world.

When it comes to the Grand Slam level, Sinner is a multiple quarterfinalist but he has yet to reach a final or even a semifinal. Now, Mouratoglou says improving his mental game might be the key for Sinner. "If you look at Jannik’s game it’s quite complete.

I don’t see a lot of weaknesses. Of course there is a margin for improvement in some strokes but I think the biggest improvement he can make is how he handles the big matches and how he handles the score. For me his tennis is the tennis of a guy who is top 10 for sure or maybe even top 5.

Maybe even better," Mouratoglou said in a video uploaded on his Instagram.

Last Sunday, Sinner made a positive start to the Rotterdam final but then Daniil Medvedev stormed back to beat the Italian 5-7 6-2 6-2.

After falling short in the Rotterdam final, Sinner didn't want to be negative as he just said it was a good learning experience. “I played many matches in the past days and I’m very happy to be in this kind of position.

Obviously in the first set I felt great, I started off in the best way. In the second, the momentum changed a little bit and in the third set I didn’t serve that well. But I think I have improved, especially against him, and so I will try to look forward to [more] of these kinds of matches,” Sinner said after the Rotterdam final. This week, Sinner was scheduled to play in Marseille but he pulled out due to a viral illness.
