John McEnroe is predicting that Carlos Alcaraz will "win at least 10 Grand Slams" as he believes "the sky is the limit" for the extremely talented Spaniard. Alcaraz, who turned 20 in early May, has one Grand Slam and four Masters titles in his collection.

Alcaraz has been widely tipped by tennis experts and former champions to go down as an all-time great. "You’re darn right [that Alcaraz could win more majors]. You say 10 [Grand Slams] and that sounds absurd to the other guys who are at 20, 22.

You then think that he should get at least that much. I always thought, ‘hey, I’ve got seven, that’s pretty good’, but now it’s like, ‘where did I go wrong?’ The sky seems to be the limit at this point.

Expectations are so high; you want to temper them and put more pressure on him, but he seems to handle it unbelievably well. At some point, it’s going to hit him, and we just hope he will be ready for it then," McEnroe told Eurosport.

McEnroe predicts a very bright future for Alcaraz

After winning two Masters titles in the spring of 2022, Alcaraz set his eyes on becoming a Grand Slam champion at the French Open. Even though Alcaraz failed to win his first Grand Slam title at the 2022 French Open, he didn't wait for too long to get his goal accomplished as the Spaniard became a Grand Slam champion a few months later at the US Open.

At the start of the 2023 season, a knee injury forced Alcaraz to miss the Australian Open. This week, Alcaraz returned to Grand Slam action at the French Open. At Roland Garros, Alcaraz has won his first two matches to reach the third round.

In the absence of Rafael Nadal, Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic are the top favorites for the title. It remains to be seen if Alcaraz's second Grand Slam title will come this fortnight.
