Taylor Fritz silences the Parisian crowd: It's raining boos against him!

Everything really happened between Taylor Fritz and the French crowd on Suzanne Lenglen, in the evening session on Thursday June 1st. The US tennis player had to collide against the home player Arthur Rinderknech, who was well protected and pushed by the many spectators present in the stands.

The American suffered screams, boos and not only from people throughout the match, still managing to get away with it thanks to a not indifferent calm and a very good ability to manage the most delicate moments of the match.

Having lost the first set 6-2, the athlete seeded number 9 in the main draw was not surprised and overturned the match with excellent tennis, winning the other three partials with scores of 6-4, 6- 3, 6-4.

After the match point, however, Fritz wanted to take revenge on the crowd and the bad treatment they gave him: the 25-year-old in fact brought his right index finger to his mouth and began to silence the spectators: of course, the crowd rained boos on him.

The climate became surreal on the Paris field: Fritz had a hard time speaking in the post-race interview. The journalist tried to calm things down for a moment without success. In the end, the American managed to say before leaving the court (quite regretfully): "The crowd was fantastic, they always supported me.

Thank you (naturally all in a sarcastic key)." Everything was held in an incandescent atmosphere with the player submerged in boos and even some insults. Fritz at the microphone of the great French glory and godmother of the Roland Garros Bartoli, after pulling out his index finger again, he was stunned without betraying any emotion and without uttering a word.
Bartoli, very irritated, then made her disappointment clear with her expression.

This went on for several minutes until Fritz, who also received the ironic applause of the fans, replied in the same register by declaring into the microphone: "I love you!" Here is the video released by Eurosport on what happened: Now Taylor Fritz will have to challenge the Argentine Francisco Cerundolo on Saturday, a tough customer on clay.

A long wait to find out if the player, after these scenes, will be beaten again by the French crowd.
