Andrey Rublev won the ATP 250 tournament in Basted, defeating Casper Ruud in the final with the final score of 7-6, 6-0 During the awards ceremony, there was a very amusing moment involving the two tennis players and the staff present on the court.
Ruud praised Rublev, but also made fun of him, saying: "Congratulations, great week, you're a very tough competitor, but also a very nice guy, very funny, always respectful to your opponents even though you hit all the fucking lines today.
Not so respectful to me. But it's OK." Rublev, smiling amused, replied, referring to the possibility that the match would be suspended due to bad weather: "I wasn't really motivated to play today. All the referees said for sure, you're not gonna play today most likely, no chance… then they said it looks like maybe we're gonna start at 2.
I went to lunch!" At the time of the delivery of the trophies and the champagne, Rublev took his revenge on Ruud's words, watering the Norwegian and the staff present with champagne! Here are the pictures:

Rublev's words after the win
The Russian said after the win in Bastad: "It's always nice to win a title.
After all, we have to lose almost every week, so this is one of two titles this year. It's a special feeling and the final was played in difficult conditions, but I was lucky to get the better of it." Rublev went on to talk about the playing conditions: "Casper hits a lot with spin, to play high and in this weather the ball didn't jump very high and I think that helped me a bit.
Also, I played really well today." This is Rublev's 18th win of the season on clay courts, allowing him to go 5-2 in H2H with Ruud. The success in Sweden, the second of the year after the triumph at the ATP Masters 1000 in Monte-Carlo, also earned him fourth place in the Race.
