Carlos Alcaraz is ready to play again as the 20-year-old Spaniard has learned his possible path to winning his first Paris Masters title. Alcaraz, the second-seeded player in Paris, has a first-round bye. After a first-round bye, Alcaraz will likely be playing against France's Alexandre Muller in his Paris opener.

In the Paris round-of-16, Alcaraz is projected to meet a seeded player for the first time in the tournament - No 16 seed Karen Khachanov. The Paris quarterfinal could bring us a rematch of this year's French Open quarterfinal as Alcaraz is projected to meet Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Then, the Paris semifinal could be a rematch of this year's Indian Wells Masters final and Wimbledon semifinal - Alcaraz's likely opponent will be No 3 seed Daniil Medvedev. If there are no surprises in the top and bottom parts of the draw, the Paris Masters final see Alcaraz taking on Novak Djokovic.

Alcaraz returns to action in Paris

After suffering a surprise defeat in the Shanghai Masters round-of-16, Alcaraz pulled out of Basel due to left leg and back issues. Alcaraz maybe didn't play in Basel this week but he is returning to action in Paris.

In Paris, Alcaraz will undoubtedly be determined to do well since he has made it pretty clear that he wants to beat Djokovic in their battle for the Year-End No 1. “Honestly, the tournaments that I have already had, I'm thinking about the No 1, being able to earn the No 1.

For me, that's the main goal for right now to the end of the season. Let's see, you know. But as well to learn, you know, from the, I'm going to say from, you know, the failures, that probably I could experience. You know, I learn from that and learning how can I be better every day or every practice, you know, that's the main thing for me, but obviously, the No 1 is, you know, on my mind as well," Alcaraz said.
