Nick Kyrgios posted a screenshot of his Instagram conversation with Drake and revealed that he and the Canadian rapper have squashed their beef. In 2014, the then 19-year-old Kyrgios blamed Drake's music for coming out flat against Milos Raonic in a four-set Wimbledon quarterfinal loss.

When Drake - who is one of the biggest names in the music industry - heard about Kyrgios' shade, he wasn't impressed at all. Nine years later, Drake DM'd Kyrgios to tell him he is actually his fan and that he was "hurt" following his 2014 Wimbledon loss comments.

"When you said I was trash it hurt me cause you really my fav player," Drake wrote to Kyrgios. In his response, Kyrgios wrote: "Haha I didn't say you are trash. I love your music my bro... I hope you are good." Drake then proceeded to wish Kyrgios a speedy return to tennis: "We will link up soon.

Speedy recovery my guy." Kyrgios captioned his post: "Sometimes I think my life isn't real."

What Kyrgios said about Drake's music in 2014?

In 2014, Kyrgios stunned Rafael Nadal to reach the Wimbledon quarterfinal in his debut.

Kyrgios drew massive attention to himself after beating Nadal but then lost to Raonic in his following match. "I came out really flat, so hopefully I won’t listen to that again! It was actually Drake. Didn’t do the job for me," Kyrgios said after his 2014 Wimbledon exit.

After being called out by Kyrgios, Drake fiercely responded at the time: "I also want to meet this guy that says that he lost because he listened to my music. I also want to meet that guy and look him in the eye and see exactly who he is as a man and size him up and then chop him right down.

Nick whatever-his-name-is — 'cause he didn't win, so that's how he's going to be remembered: 'Nick whatever-his-name-is.' " Now, what happened between Kyrgios and Drake is a thing of the past.
