On December 22, 2023 there will be a last match between the Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz and the ATP world no.4 Jannik Sinner. The Spanish and the Italian will compete in an exhibition match to be held at the JC Ferrero Academy.

The event was favored by the presence of Sinner in Alicante, where the young Italian player is preparing for the season, which will officially begin at the end of December. The Spanish tennis player will be engaged in another performance in the Riyahd Season Cup, in which he will face world number 1 and 24-time Slam champion Novak Djokovic and, subsequently, he will fly to Australia on January 7, where he will prepare for the first Slam of the season, the Australian Open.

We recall Carlitos missed last year due to injury and in which he did not defend points. Sinner, however, will begin the 2024 season with an exhibition at Kooyong, where the Australian Major was held in the past, and will take part in the Australian Open, where in the 2023 edition the Italian tennis player lost in the round of 16 match against Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Their exhibition match will be an appetizer to their rivalry in 2024

In fact, one of the most beloved rivalries in recent years by fans is the one between Carlitos and Jannik. In every match involving the two Next Gen there was always pathos, as well as tough and spectacular exchanges.

So far, the Italian tennis player is ahead 4-3 in head-to-head matches played on the ATP Tour. Particular mention deserves a point scored during the semi-final of the ATP Masters 1000 in Miami, which saw Jannik prevail, and who was voted by fans as the point of the 2023 year of the ATP Tour.

In that match Jannik took revenge in the semi-final of the ATP Masters 1000 in Indian Wells, in which Carlos triumphed, who then won the title by overcoming Medvedev in the final. The esteem and friendship between the two tennis players is tangible and even during the press conferences they do not shy away from complimenting each other.
