Nick Kyrgios ripped Yevgeny Kafelnikov as "another potato" and "sad guy" after the former two-time Grand Slam champion shared his thoughts on the Australian's feud with the German. After Kyrgios said he feels the players from this era are superior to the players from the past, Becker didn't take it well as he told the 2022 Wimbledon to "respect the past" and that those guys from the past are to credit for him to play tennis and make the money he is making today.

"Uhhh what? I’ve been arguably one of the most watched players outside the big three the last decade? Fans around the world and have brought so many more people to the sport. I’ve created my own stuff off the court.

Try to not hide any more assets x," Kyrgios wrote after reading about Becker's latest comments.

Kafelnikov shares his thoughts, Kyrgios responds

"Dude hasn’t won Slam in singles and comparing his impact to game of tennis to one of the BEST, legend in our sport Boris Becker @TheBorisBecker?? What kind of weed is he smoking??" Kafelnikov wrote on X.

Reacting to Kafelnikov's post, Kyrgios wrote: "Never ever said that he hasn’t impacted the game champion. We have another potato on board. He said that if you haven’t won a slam there is no credibility???? RUBLEV??? lol you old heads are all the same."

In another post, Kyrgios added: "I’ll also make sure your sad tweet reaches more than 50 k people.

Sad guy."

In an interview with The Athletic, Kyrgios said he thinks tennis has evolved and that the style of play that was once landing players Grand Slam wouldn't bring much success in today's tennis.

Also, Kyrgios said during the interview that he is not a big fan of some of the takes that "old heads" give when speaking about today's tennis.
