It starts with the Australian Swing (and Rafael Nadal's come back) and ends at the ATP Finals in Turin

Here we are! 2024 tennis season is about to start! And we start immediately with the eagerly awaited comeback: Rafael Nadal. The tennis season starts on outdoor hard courts in Australia, with the sole exception of an ATP 250 tournament which takes place in the first week of the year in Hong Kong.

From 29 December there is the United Cup in Perth and Sydney and the ATP 250 in Brisbane returns. In the week of 8 to 13 January there are two ATP 250 tournaments in Adelaide and Auckland. The Australian Open, the first Slam of the year, will be played in Melbourne from 14 to 28 January.

From January 29th to February 4th there will then be the first tournament of the year in Europe: an ATP 250 on the indoor hard courts in Montpellier, while the Davis Cup qualifiers also begin that weekend. The week from 5 to 11 February there are 3 ATP 250s: on clay in Cordoba while indoors are played in Dallas and Marseille.

In the week from 12 to 18 February Buenos Aires Rotterdam (ATP 500) and Delray Beach (ATP 250). From 19 to 25 February the ATP 500 and Doha ATP 250 and Los Cabos ATP 250 will take place in Brazil in Rio De Janeiro. From 26 February to 3 March there will be the ATP 500 in Acapulco and Dubai on hard courts and the ATP 250 in Santiago de Chile on clay.

The first ATP Masters 1000 of the season will be played from 6 to 17 March in Indian Wells and, from 20 to 31 March, in Miami, for the second ATP Master 1000 of 2024. April opens the season on European clay: from 1 April for three 250s in Estoril, Marrakech and Houston.

From 7 April, the first ATP Master 1000 on clay in Monte Carlo with the final on 14 April. Three tournaments in the week from 15 to 21 April: Barcelona, Munich and Bucharest. From April 24th the ATP Master 1000 in Madrid with final on May 5th.

From May 8th appointment in Rome for the Italian Internationals with final on May 19th. In the week of May 20th two ATP 250 tournaments in Geneva and Lyon before Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam tournament of the season starting on May 26th.

Final in Paris on Sunday 9 June. In June we then traditionally go on grass: from the 10th to the 16th there are the ATP 250 in 'S-Hertogenbosch and Stuttgart. From 17 to 23 June the ATP 500 tournaments at Queen's and Halle and from 23 to 29 June the tournaments in Mallorca and Eastbourne.

Main event at Wimbledon, for the third Grand Slam tournament of the season, from 1st July with final on Sunday 14th July.

The second part of the season

From July 15th, Hamburg, Bastad, Gstaad and Newport (last grass tournament of the season).

It will then be played in Atlanta, Kitzbuhel and Umag from 22 to 28 July. The Paris Olympic tournament at the Roland Garros Stadium starts on July 27th with the final on August 4th while in the United States, at the same time, the ATP 500 in Washington is being played on hard courts.

rom 6 to 11 August there is the Canadian ATP 1000 which in the usual rotation with Toronto this year will be played in Montreal. From 12 to 18 August there is the ATP Master 1000 in Cincinnati, from 18 to 24 August Winston Salem up to the fourth Slam of the season, the US Open in New York starting on 26 August.

Final on September 8th. September is also Davis Cup time with the Finals Group stage in various cities in the week from 10th to 15th September. Then the Asian part of the hard court season opens: from 18 to 24 September there are the ATP 250 in Zhuhai and Chengdu in China and the only exception is the 2024 Laver Cup between 20 and 22 September in Berlin.

It continues from September 25th with the ATP 500 tournaments in Tokyo and Beijing, finals on October 1st. This part of the season ends with the ATP 1000 in Shanghai from 2 to 13 October. From October 14th tennis returns to Europe with only a couple of exceptions.

Then Antwerp, Almaty and Stockholm. From 21st to 27th October Basel and Vienna for the two traditional indoor ATP 500s. Finally, from 28 October the last ATP Master 1000 of the season will take place in Paris Bercy with the final on 3 November.

From 4 to 9 November the indoor ATP 250 in Metz and Gijon. Finally, the appointment is with the ATP Finals in Turin from 10 to 17 November. The Davis Cup final phase follows the following week from 20 to 24 November. Final appointment with the Next Gen ATP Finals still in Jeddah which are moving forward in the calendar compared to this season as they will be held from 18 to 22 December 2024.
