Daniil Medvedev had a very explosive outburst toward officials during his Monte Carlo Masters second-round match against Gael Monfils as the Russian used some pretty expletive words while revealing his frustration with officiating.

In the fourth game of the second set - with Medvedev leading 30-0 on his service - one of Monfils' shots was called out but the Frenchman still won the point after chair Mohamed Lahyani came down to check the mark and ruled the ball as in.

In the following point, Monfils' deep return was called in - but after Lahyani came to the scene - he determined that the Frenchman's ball was out.

Medvedev then started shouting at the line judge in question, which prompted chair umpire Lahyani to plead the former world No. 1 to stop.

Despite being 40-15 up in that game, Medvedev ended up losing that game and falling 1-3 down to Monfils in the second set, which led to a major outburst during the next changeover, where Medvedev used some pretty obscene language and swore in both English and Russian.

Medvedev lashes out at Lahyani, Monte Carlo officials

"It’s a freaking joke it’s out how did I lose the game when it’s out? It's out, it's out! (Expletive). Medvedev said.

Lahyani attempted to calm down Medvedev, saying: "I saw the catch in the back. Maybe I am wrong. If I'm wrong, I will apologize."

But Medvedev kept ranting: "How can you apologize? That was a freaking game, it's a freaking... sport man. I don't know how to.... Oh my god! You guys are getting ridiculous. With Hawk-Eye live, you don't see anything."

After Monfils served out the fifth game for a 4-1 lead and Medvedev delivered an outburst, the situation completely changed as the Russian won the next five games to win the second set and complete a 6-2 6-4 win over the Frenchman.

Moments after his win, Medvedev cheekily wrote on the camera lens "In or out?"
