The Italian decided to withdraw on the eve of the quarterfinals of the Spanish ATP Masters 1000 due to the hip problem

We told you about it a few hours ago when Jannik Sinner decided to skip today's training (you can read the article by clicking here), now the official news has arrived: the Italian tennis player has withdrawn from the Mutua Madrid Open.

The hip problem began to worry Sinner starting from the Masters 1000 in Monte-Carlo.

ned that he has been living with this discomfort for a few weeks and has probably opted for the best solution in view of the next delicate commitments. The Italian has decided to withdraw from Madrid with the hope of being able to reach both the Internazionali BNL d'Italia and the Roland Garros in top form.

Sinner had problems in the match he won against Pavel Kotov and then in the comeback he completed against Karen Khachanov. This morning, in all likelihood, his body did not respond as expected and Sinner withdrew from the tournament.

A tournament that loses another great protagonist after the eliminations of Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal. Carlitos failed to overcome Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinals.

Sinner decided not to take any further risks and communicated his choice a few minutes ago to the organizers of the Spanish ATP Masters 1000 event, on the eve of the quarter-final against Felix Auger-Aliassime.

The Canadian tennis player will have the chance to play in the semi-finals in Madrid and will await the winner of the match between Daniil Medvedev and Jiri Lehecka.
