First grass tournament, first as World number one, first title. Change the surface, but Jannik Sinner remains the number one. The fourth triumph of the season ended the first week on the green of the Italian tennis player, who at the Atp 500 in Halle beat 7-6 (8) 7-6(2) his friend Hubert Hukacz with the best performance of this German campaign and won the first trophy on grass of his career.

It adds another pearl to the extraordinary season of the 22-year-old Italian, which therefore proves to be able to adapt its game to all surfaces and to be among the favorites also at Wimbledon. With the success in Halle, Jannik also entered the small circle of players able to win the first tournament played after winning the head of the ranking.

Sinner concluded by talking about expectations ahead of Wimbledon. "I can’t wait, last year went well with the semi-final but let’s see this year. Between here and Wimbledon there is some small difference but I will have a week to better prepare for this tournament," said the Italian.
