This season, Team World will be called to defend the title for the second year, after Europe's domination in the first four editions of the event created by Roger Federer to honor Rod Laver.

The team captained by John McEnroe (at his last year as captain, given that from 2025 he will be replaced by Andre Agassi - ed.) managed to win the trophy in both 2022 and 2023. An important contribution was certainly made by Ben Shelton, who won three matches in Vancouver: one in singles against Arthur Fils in the opening match and two in doubles together with Felix Auger-Aliassime and Frances Tiafoe.
