Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, the two big favorites to reach the semi-final in the upper part of the draw, will hunt for the quarter-finals of the Championships on Day 7 of Wimbledon. The reigning champion will open the program on Centre Court at 14:30 Italian and will face Ugo Humbert after the complicated victory against Frances Tiafoe.

The Spaniard found himself under two sets to one and, despite the bad day, managed to overturn the match by winning the tie-break of the fourth part and dominating the fifth. The organizers then opted for two women’s matches: the first will see the home player Emma Raducanu play against Lulu Sun; the second will stage the American derby between the seeded number two Coco Gauff and Emma Navarro.

Impressive, that is the key word to define the performance of Jannik Sinner this Friday in the Cathedral of tennis, the Italian advanced to the round of 16 of Wimbledon after overcoming with authority Miomir Kecmanovic 6-1, 6-4, 6-2.

A third commitment this week that the first preclassified solved without problems after two first encounters in which he fought in four sets after beating Yannik Hanfmann and Matteo Berrettini.

Jannik Sinner will not play at the Centre Court - which has already happened in his debut - but at Court 1. The Court 1 will involve both the South Tyrolean and the Italian number one Jasmine Paolini.

The Italian player does not want to set any limits and the goal is to collect the best result at Wimbledon by qualifying for the quarter-finals. To do so he will have to beat the competition of Madison Keys: the match will begin at 14:00.

Sinner is ready to take on Ben Shelton. The game should start around 4:00 p.m. The Italian and the American faced each other three times in their careers: two of the successes of Sinner - Vienna 2023 and Indian Wells 2024 - one of Shelton’s in Shanghai in 2023.

Grigor Dimitrov, finally, will find on the other side of the net one between Jan-Lennard Struff and Daniil Medvedev who have yet to finish their third round.
