Tennis: The fourth seed Stanislas Wawrinka has come back from one set down to outlast the third seed Tomas Berdych in 3 sets 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the final of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam. This was Wawrinka"s sixth consecutive win against the Czech and he leads Berdych 11-5 in the head-to-head record now.
This was also Wawrinka"s second title of the season as he won Chennai title last month and overall its his ninth career title. When they last met in London World Tour Finals a couple of months back, Wawrinka had won 6-1, 6-1, but this time Berdych had different intentions.
He was strong on his serve early in the match and broke Wawrinka in the seventh game. He served for the set at 5-4 and saved a couple of set points before taking the first set 6-4. In the second set Wawrinka did not face even a single break point and won around 80% points on his first serve.
A single break of serve was enough to give him the second set 6-3 and force the match into the deciding set. In the third set, Wawrinka started strong and got an early break. He got another break in the fifth game to go 4-1 up and was cruising towads victory.
