Jerzy Janowicz will not play tennis for a while. Just after the Australian Open the Polish, World No. 73, underwent a knee injury for the third time in career. He already had an operation last October but stopped only for a few weeks.
This week he withdrew from ATP 250 Montpellier which is taking place in France and at the moment it's unknown when and where he will come back on the Tour. Surely he will lose some positions in the ATP rankings. His presence for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro next August is in doubt, since he is quite far from the Top 50.
It's a shame that a player with so much potential cannot show it because of his personality as well as because of his injuries. His most important result in career was the final in Paris Bercy 2012 lost against David Ferrer.
It now looks very unlikely that he will get a result like that again, but coming back at a good level must be one of his goals. Meanwhile he is trying to console at Roulette... and he won too!
