Jo Wilfried Tsonga's knee injury is more serious than expected. The Frenchman, who withdrew from Metz and the Davis Cup, will also skip all the Upcoming Asian swing, including ATP tournaments of Chengdu, Beijing and Shanghai.
In the Masters 1000 event he had to defend the final, so he will lose 600 points and will drop in the rankings from the 12th place to at least 17th or 18th.
Tsonga is still committed to play ATP 500 of Vienna, which takes place from 24th to 30th of October, and the last Masters 1000 event of the season, Paris Masters. Meanwhile always because of a knee injury Tsonga's compatriot Gael Monfils announced he won't play the Andy Murray Live' exhibition in the Glasgow Arena on Wednesday.
Monfils will be replaced by the Bulgarian player Grigor Dimitrov. Monfils injured himself on Tuesday doing a bad movement with his knee and did not play the Davis Cup semifinals tie against Croatia in Zadar.
And as Andy Murray wins the set, it's announced that Grigor Dimitrov will replace Gael Monfils at the exhibition in Glasgow on Wednesday.
