Kei Nishikori and Dominic Thiem to play ATP Rio in 2017

According to what Sport Tv announced on Friday, two top 10 players are committed to play the Rio Open, ATP 500 event that will be played on clay-courts from 20 to 26 February 2017. The World No. 5 Kei Nishikori and No. 9 Dominic Thiem will play the tourmament.

A crazy first half of the year for Thiem, who will play Brisbane, Sydney and Australian Open in January, Sofia, Rotterdam, Rio and Acapulco in February, and Indian Wells and Miami in March: nine tournaments in three months! He will play ATP Rio for the second time in his life, this year he lost to the Argentinean player Guido Pella in the semifinals.

Kei Nishikori plays for the first time ever this event and he will surely be the main attraction in the Brazilian city, where he won the Bronze medal defeating Rafael Nadal at the Olympic Games in August.
