ATP Sydney: Dominic Thiem upset by Dan Evans, Viktor Troicki closer to third title

The top two seeds in the ATP Sydney Open were upset in the quarter-finals on Thursday. The first seed Dominic Thiem was defeated by Dan Evans and the second seed Pablo Cuevas was defeated by sixth seed Gilles Muller. Two-time defending champion Viktor Troicki reached the semi-final without playing a single point, receiving a walkover from fifth seed Philipp Kohlschreiber.
