Milos Raonic won't play in 2017 anymore, but he already knows where he will kick off his 2018 season. The Canadian will first play Abu Dhabi exhibition event from 28 to 30 December with Dominic Thiem, Rafael Nadal, Pablo Carreno Busta and other two unknown players, then he will go to Brisbane, where he will make his fifth appearance.
Raonic will join Nadal, Andy Murray, Nick Kyrgios, Grigor Dimitrov in a stellar field. He first played in Brisbane in 2012, losing to Grigor Dimitrov in the first round. Then he lost to Roger Federer in 2015 final, took the revenge over the Swiss the following year to conquer the Trophy, and in 2017 after beating Rafael Nadal, he lost to Dimitrov in the semifinals.
It will be a perfect event for him to prepare ahead of Australian Open. Raonic will be a very intriguing outsider, as he will leave top 15 as soon as the season ends. He will get rehab on his left calf to recover from strain.
