The singles match of the Friday day session at the ATP Finals will let us know who will be the fourth and last semifinalist in the event. The winner of the clash between David Goffin and Dominic Thiem will reach semis for the first time in their career at the Year-End tournament.
Goffin, who won just two games against Dimitrov, leads head to head meetings 6-3, and won both matches played this year, at the Australian Open and Monte Carlo. Thiem struggled to find his best tennis and his three setter win against Carreno Busta is the last proof, but motivations will definitely be higher.
