Alexander Zverev signs three-year contract with Halle event

Alexander Zverev will play ATP 500 Halle event at least until 2020. The World No. 4 signed a three-year contract with Gerry Weber Open. Zverev already made three appearances in Halle, he reached 2016 and 2017 finals, losing to his fellow compatriot Florian Mayer and Roger Federer.

'I cannot wait to go back to Halle. It’s one of my favorite tournaments on the tour', Zverev said in a statement. Halle's next year event will be played from 16 to 24 June, and it will feature also Federer, who has a "lifetime" contract with Halle, Dominic Thiem, Kei Nishikori.

At the moment in 2018, excluding Masters 1000 and Grand Slams, Zverev is confirmed for Hopman Cup, Rotterdam and Acapulco. Federer is set to be an ambassador of Halle event in the future as well. 'I have already spoken to Roger.
