Janko Tipsarevic set to launch tennis academy in Belgrade

Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic has announced through Instagram that he is opening a new tennis academy in Belgrade. The former world No. 8 opened his first tennis academy, located in Belgrade, five years ago in 2013. "We are opening a brand new academy in the center of Belgrade.

The academy will host nine tennis courts, a brand new gym, tracking field...there are three public swimming pools, (a) basketball court, (a) beach volleyball court, (a) beach soccer court...it's a massive, massive complex that I'm so happy to be a part of," Tipsarevic said.

The academy is currently in the construction phase. Tipsarevic expects the academy to be launched at the beginning of June.

Meanwhile, Tipsarevic hasn't played since the US Open.

The four-time ATP champion underwent a minor right leg surgery this past March. The 153st-ranked Serb hasn't been especially lucky with his health in recent years but is refusing to call it a career. It remains to be seen when will Tipsarevic be ready to return to competitive action.
