Chinese rising star Yibing Wu has signed a marketing and management deal with IMG and will be represented by well-known agent Max Eisenbud. Agent Eisenbud also represents tennis superstar Maria Sharapova and Chinese tennis legend Li Na.

18-year-old Wu will also be collaborating with Sharapova's former coach Sven Groeneveld. However, their collaboration isn't a full time one as it will start on a trial period. Yu won the title 2018 US Open boys' singles title and reached the No.

1 juniors ranking following his successful run at Flushing Meadows. The Chinese hasn't played much tennis this year -- one ATP event, three Challenger tournaments and a Davis Cup tie. The 18-year-old hasn't played since April when he lost in the An-Ning Challenger last-16 to Mohamed Safwat.

Wu, ranked at No. 334 in the world, reached his career-high ranking of No. 301 in 2017 November. It remains to be seen when will the Chinese promising player be ready to return to competitive action. Also read: Thanasi Kokkinakis: It would've been fun to play Bernard Tomic at RG
