Milos Raonic completes star-studded FAST4 player lineup

Canadian tennis star Milos Raonic has completed the 2018 FAST4 player lineup. The FAST4 exhibition event is due to have a star-studded player field this January. 2016 Wimbledon runner-up Raonic joins 17-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal, 2017 Nitto ATP Finals champion Grigor Dimitrov and home-favourite Nick Kyrgios to play FAST4.

As the name of the Australian exhibition event suggests, a fast format is used at the tournament. The first player to four games wins the set, lets is always played, No-Ad scoring and a tie-break resolve the set if the two players are tied at 3-3.

FAST4 is making a bit of change for the upcoming edition. In recent years, two Australian players competed against two players from outside Australia. Kyrgios teamed up with Australian tennis legend Lleyton Hewitt at FAST4 in 2016 and 2018, while he represented Team Australia with Bernard Tomic in 2017.

However, this January it will be one Australian player and three players from outside Australia. Former world No. 3 Raonic is due to make his debut at FAST4. World No. 2 Nadal is set to return to the Australian exhibition event, having played there in 2016 and 2017.

On the other side, Dimitrov, who debuted at FAST4 this year, is expected to make his second consecutive appearance at the tournament. The FAST4 Showdown has been scheduled to be held on 7 January at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
