ATP Queens- Nadal wins in 3, Del Potro falls

Nadal rebounded from a minor choke in his match today as he was up a set and a break and served for the match at 5-3 in the second before messing up 2 set points and losing the 2nd set 5-7 to Radek Stepanek. Nadal rebounded to win 6-1 in the third.

Nadal looks a bit tired mentally out there, and who wouldn't? He just won Roland Garros on Sunday and 2 days later was in London playing doubles. We all know this is just a warm up tournament for Nadal. He was playing well, returing closer to the baseline, serving bigger, and coming to the net more on grass than he did on clay, and showcased it especially in the third.

In the other big match today, Juan Martin Del Potro lost to Andrian Mannarino in 2 tiebreaks. Del Potro had 3 set points but was unable to convert. Del Potro has always struggled on grass, his movement is just not good enough on the surface, as of yet.

We will see how he plays at Wimbledon. Other results today: (5) Jo-Wilfried Tsonga def. (10) Michael Llodra 4-3 ret.
(7) Fernando Verdasco def. (9) David Nalbandian 7-5, 6-1
(3) Andy Roddick def. (15) Kevin Anderson 6-4, 6-4
(2) Andy Murray def. (14) Janko Tipsarevic 6-4, 7-6(3)
