Former world No. 7 David Goffin , 16th-ranked Nikoloz Basilashvili and rising French star Ugo Humbert have signed up to play Metz this year, the tournament announced on Tuesday. Goffin, 28, is set to make his fourth appearance in Metz as he will be aiming to achieve more success at the French ATP 250 event.
The Belgian had an impressive Metz debut as he won it all at the tournament in 2014 before making the semifinal in 2016 and the quarterfinal in 2017 respectively. Basilashvili, who is enjoying a breakthrough season on the tour, is also set to make his fourth appearance in Metz as he will be targeting to make it all the way at the tournament for the first time in his career.
The 27-year-old's best result at the tournament came in 2017 -- when he made the semifinal before losing to home favorite Benoit Paire. Meanwhile, 21-year-old Humbert is set to make back-to-back appearances in Metz as he will be hoping to put up a good week in front of his home fans.
The Frenchman failed to make it past the Metz qualifying event in 2017 but debuted at the tournament last year when he made the round-of-16 as a wildcard. The Metz event is scheduled to be held from September 16-22.
