Rising French star Lucas Pouille and former world No. 7 Fernando Verdasco have signed up to play at the Stockholm Open, per Michal Samulski. Pouille, who reached his maiden Grand Slam semifinal this year at the Australian Open, is set to make back-to-back appearances in Stockholm.
World No. 27 Pouille failed to impress in his Stockholm debut last year as he was beaten in the first round by American Tennys Sandgren. The former world No. 10 will certainly be aiming to make amends for last year's disappointing Stockholm and make a deep run at the tournament this year.
Meanwhile, Verdasco is set to return to a familiar place for him as he will be making his ninth Stockholm appearance this year. The 35-year-old has been one of the most regular participants of the Stockholm event for the past couple of years as he is set to make his seventh consecutive appearance at the tournament.
The Spaniard, a 2017 Stockholm semifinalist, will be aiming to finally win it all at the Swedish event from October 14-20.
