Defending champion Gael Monfils and former world No. 3 Stan Wawrinka have signed up to play at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam, per Michal Samulski. Monfils, 33, is set to make his ninth appearance on the indoor-hard courts of Rotterdam as he will be aiming to reach his third consecutive final at the Dutch event.
The Frenchman world No. 13 ended runner-up to Martin Klizan in the 2016 Rotterdam final but claimed his first Rotterdam last year after beating Wawrinka in the final. On the other side, three-time Grand Slam champion Wawrinka is set to make a fifth appearance at the Dutch ATP 500 event.
The 34-year-old Swiss, who debuted at the Rotterdam event in 2005, won his first title at the tournament in 2015 in what was his second appearance at the event. Wawrinka, now ranked at No. 24, will be aiming to make another deep run in Rotterdam and make a third final in his fifth appearance at the tournament.
