Promising French tennis star Corentin Moutet has split with coach Emmanuel Planque, per L'Equipe. Moutet, 20, added coach Planque to his coaching staff before the 2019 season. Previously, Planque led Lucas Pouille to five ATP titles and a career-high ranking of No.
10 in the world before the two split at the end of the last season. Moutet, ranked at No. 96 in the world, was hoping to achieve similar success under the belt of coach Planque. The collaboration between the two got off to a solid start as Moutet had made several deep runs on the Challenger Tour in the first half of the season.
As a result of his success on the Challenger Tour, Moutet reached a career-high ranking of No. 80 in the world in July. Unfortunately for Moutet, that's when his form started to drop as he lost six matches in a row before ending his losing streak at the Orleans Challenger this week.
It remains to be seen who will the 20-year-old Frenchman bring to his coaching staff to replace Planque.
