Former world No. 8 Jack Sock and rising American star Frances Tiafoe have signed up to play at the Delray Beach Open in February, per Michal Samulski. Sock, who entered the new season without a ranking, used his protected ranking to enter the Delray Beach Open.
After skipping Delray Beach in 2019, the 27-year-old is now expected to return to the event this year and make his fifth main draw appearance at the event. In only of those previous four Delray Beach appearances Sock managed to make a deep run -- but that one was enough as he claimed the title at the event in 2017.
On the other side, world No. 47 Tiafoe is set to make his third consecutive appearance on the hard courts of Delray Beach. The 21-year-old enjoyed a dream Delray Beach debut in 2018 as he beat Germany's Peter Gojowzcyk in the final to lift his maiden ATP title.
A bit disappointingly for Tiafoe, he failed to defend his Delray Beach title last year as he suffered a first round defeat at the hands of Daniel Evans. Both Sock and Tiafoe will be aiming to make a deep run in front of their home fans at the Delray Beach Open between February 17-23.
