Jack Sock, Tennys Sandgren granted wildcards into Indian Wells

Former world No. 8 Jack Sock is set to make his eighth appearance at the Indian Wells Masters after receiving a wildcard into the opening Masters event of the season by the tournament organizers. Sock, now ranked at No. 768 in the world, reached the semifinal at Indian Wells in 2017 before he was struck by health issues -- which heavily affected his results.

Tennys Sandgren, who was on the verge of stunning record 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer in this year's Australian Open quarterfinal, was also awarded a wildcard into Indian Wells. World No. 55 Sandgren is now set to make his third consecutive appearance at Indian Wells as he will be aiming to make it past the second round in the desert for the first time in his career.

Rising American star Brandon Nakashima, who made his maiden ATP quarterfinal at the Delray Beach Open last month, will make his debut at the Indian Wells Masters after being granted a wildcard into the tournament. Fellow Americans Marcos Giron and Mitchell Krueger will also participate in the opening Masters event of the season as they were awarded main draw wildcards based on their performance over the course of the 2019-2020 Oracle Challenger Series.
