The men's ATP Tour along with members of the ATP Coach programme have launched a series of exclusive fan experiences in support of coaches affected during the current global pandemic, according to the ATP Tour. According to an ATP Tour press release, the initiative will be hosted on the fundraising platform Givergy and gives tennis fans the opportunity to bid for unique experiences through auctions and prize draws.

The experiences include private coaching sessions with ATP coaches such as Paul Annacone, Boris Becker, Darren Cahill, Brad Gilbert, Goran Ivanisevic, Ivan Lendl, Ivan Ljubicic, Carlos Moya, Patrick Mouratoglou and Marian Vajda.

The sessions will take place at ATP Tour events and Grand Slam events in 2021 and also include a combination of match tickets, hospitality and behind-the-scenes access.

There will also be exclusive merchandise on the platform. Fans can bid for the experiences during a three week window - from June 8th to June 29th 2020. There will also be further rounds and experiences which will be announced later by the ATP Tour.

Funds raised through the initiative will be allocated by the ATP Coaches Committee to support members of the ATP Coach Programme, whose ability to work has been impacted by the ongoing pandemic. Besides that, a part of proceeds will be donated to a global COVID-19 relief fund.

Andrea Gaudenzi, ATP Chairman commented, “It is great to see coaches and tournaments offer some truly incredible and unique experiences to our fans. The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged the ability of many people to work and coaches are no exception.

The fact this initiative also helps fellow members of the tennis family during this uncertain time shows the unity and innovative spirit of tennis”. Dani Vallverdu, ATP Coach, commented, “Coaches play a huge role in our sport and we wanted to do something creative to support the wider coaching community.

I am proud so many tennis icons and tournaments are getting behind this. I am really excited for fans to enjoy these unique tennis experiences and hopefully leave with some unforgettable memories”. The ATP has also helped create a fund for providing relief to lower ranked players during the pandemic.

Boris Becker is a former World No. 1 and six-time Grand Slam champion while Goran Ivanisevic is a former Wimbledon champion.
