Marco Cecchinato has become a father. The son of the Italian tennis player and his partner Gaia has been named Edoardo: surely one of the greatest joys ever experienced by the Italian player, who decided to share the good news with his fans on his instagram channel.
Cecchinato claimed: 'Seeing mother Gaia holding our son in her arms is the strongest emotion felt until today' This is the message posted on Instragram by Cecchinato: "Edoardo was born. The strongest emotion ever felt to date is seeing mother @gaiapecs holding our son in his arms."
Not only Cecchinato: Agnieszka Radwanska has also become a parent for the first tim. The former polish tennis star and protagonist of international tennis crowned the joy of becoming a parent: in fact Agnieszka Radwanska, who left the women's Tour in November 2018 gave birth to the little Jacob.
Almost at the third wedding anniversary, when Aga married Dawid Celt in the second half of July 2017, Jacob was born. The polish player also decided to share a nice photo of her son's foot on Instagram to announce the great news.
During her great career Agnieszka Radwanska won 20 WTA titles, including the 2015 WTA Finals, beating Petra Kvitova in the final act. In the Grand Slams, Radwanska's best result was the 2012 Wimbledon final, when shee lost to Serena Williams.
She also reached the 2nd place on the WTA Rankings in July 2012, just when she played the Championships final.
Eugenie Bouchard will come back on the court
The last match officially played by number 332 of the WTA ranking Eugenie Bouchard dates back to last February: it was the clear loss suffered in the first round of the Oracle Challenger Series in Newport Beach, against the American Alexa Glatch (Bouchard lost for 1- 6 2-6).
The Canadian, number 5 in the world in 2014, reached a final in Wimbledon and the semifinals of the Australian Open and Roland Garros. Holder of a single round of the major circuit, Eugenie does not pass the third round of a Grand Slam tournament now from the US Open 2015.
Then Genie fell into a spiral of negative results and bad performances, not keeping all the expectations that had been created after her fantastic 2014. However, in the meantime she became a true social media star, where she is always very active, especially during the lockdown, caused by the spread of the global pandemic of Covid-19, which caused the ATP / WTA Tours suspensions.
