Oscar Hernandez Retires

Veteran Oscar Hernandez, who won 10 Challenger titles, 1 ATP doubles title and enjoyed a career-high ranking of 48, has announced his retirement. The Spaniard was a regular on the ATP Tour - though he usually had to qualify to earn his spot in Tour events.

The decision came after surgery to repair a herniated disk didn't go according to plan. The result is that he will no longer be able to compete at the highest levels, and decided to call it a day instead.
