Babolat against Benoit Paire and Fabio Fognini. Starting from the outbursts of a professional tennis player like Frenchman Benoit Paire, who has practically done nothing but complain since the beginning of the new season the system of bubbles used in tournaments by the ATP, admitting his only goal is to attend each tournament, playing poorly and losing in the first round of each event of the Tour in order to get the prize money and travel immediately to another place.
The last to enter this controversy was Fabio Fognini, certainly not new to similar attitudes. The former Italian top 10, who played last week in Barcelona against home player Bernabe Zapata Miralles, was defaulted on a score of 6-0 4-4 in favour of the Spanish tennis player for pronouncing obscenities against the chairman.
Fabio promptly announced the appeal, confident that the disqualification was completely unfair.
The Babolat press release
The famous French company Babolat, which supplied Paire and Fognini with their rackets, took the decision to publicly comment on Twitter about the behavior of the two players.
Here the statement: "At Babolat, tennis runs in our blood. We believe in the strength of our sport and defend its values in terms of respect, fair play, team spirit, friendship and fun in the game. Sometimes a family member can go through a complex period and forget the importance of these values and the example we must pass on to all fans of this sport.
Worried about the recent outbursts of Benoit Paire and Fabio Fognini, we have informed them that we do not approve of their behavior. Today we reaffirmed our values and the importance of respecting them. We will think in more detail together with Benoit and Fabio about the legal actions to be taken and we will see together how to accompany them."
The two players also plan to take the court at the Roland Garros in Paris, where Fabio played a quarter-final in 2011 (forfeit before the match against Novak Djokovic).
