Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic celebrate Rome!

The week of the Italian Open, in Rome, the most important tennis tournament held every year in Italy, officially begins on Monday 10 May 2021. The best tennis players of the international Tour are present in this tournament and, after the absence of Madrid, the world number one and reigning champion of the tournament Novak Djokovic will come back, much awaited at this great event.

The tournament will also feature the King of Clay Rafael Nadal, multiple tournament winner in the past, while the only major absentee of the tournament is twenty-time Grand Slam tournament winner Roger Federer. In addition to the various champions present in the tournament, there is a lot of anticipation for the various Azzurri who represent Italy in the home tournament: from the recent Madrid finalist Matteo Berrettini, ready to defend the Italian colors in his Rome, to the young Italian talents Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti, both however quite unlucky with the scoreboard.

The possible cross between Jannik (who always has to beat Ugo Humbert) and the number two and twenty-time seeded Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal is intriguing. In the first round, on the other hand, Novak Djokovic awaits the winner between the American Taylor Fritz and the British Daniel Evans.

The British player was the protagonist of one of the most sensational scalps of the season, namely the victory in Montecarlo right on the number one in the world where Nole appeared in one of his bad editions in the court and which is also back from the defeat in Belgrade against Karatsev.
