World number 13 and USA’s highest ranked player John Isner believes that he can topple 17-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer in their fourth round match at the US Open. Isner said that he works hard for opportunities like these.

He added that he will enjoy the match but also believe that he can upset Federer and reach the quarter-finals of his home Grand Slam event. The American said while talking to reporters, "It"s going to be fun. It"s what I work so hard for, to get an opportunity like this.

On Monday I"m going to have fun with it. At the same time, I"m going to go out there and believe that I can win the match." Isner qualified for the fourth round when his third round opponent Jiri Vesely retired when he was trailing 3-6, 4-6.

On the other hand, Federer overpowered 29th seed Philipp Kohlschreiber in straight sets 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the last-16 stage. Federer enjoys 4-1 lead over Isner in their head to head series and has won all the three matches these two have played on hard courts.

However, Isner can take some confidence from his recent results as he was runner-up at BB&T Atlanta Open and then won the Citi Open during US Open series.
