Tennis - American tennis player Vania King has undergone surgery for an ankle injury and says he surgery went off successfully. King retired in the first round of her singles match at Indian Wells after losing the first eight games to German Andrea Petkovic.
She is currently ranked No. 101 in the world in singles and No. 32 in doubles, although she has been as high as No. 50 in singles and No. 3 in doubles, where she has been a two-time Grand Slam champion. King has not made a definite timeline to her return on the tour as of now.
