Tennis - 25-year-old American Shelby Rogers says that she will be out for at least four months more to recover from her knee injury and will use her protected ranking when she wants to come back. Speaking to The Post and Courier, the American player says, "I don't have a really clear answer, I'm sorry.
But it's going to be a while, four (more) months at least. So a protected ranking will come into play. I'm doing well in physical therapy and everything is right on track. Just taking it day by day and enjoying my time away from the game as much as I can." Rogers was ranked No.
78 in the world when she suffered the injury at the Indian Wells tournament and is currently down to No. 118 in the rankings. She will likely drop outside the Top 350 in the rankings if she does not play for four more months.
Rogers is currently working with Marc Lucero on her rehab in California. Also Read - Judy Murray Foundation to Host First Event This Weekend
