John Isner gives back to his community, launches foundation in Dallas

American tennis star John Isner has decided to give back to his community as he has launched The Isner Family Foundation, which will provide support to hospitals in the Dallas-Forth Worth area. Isner, 34, has had a negative experience with cancer as his mom battled with the disease over a decade ago while the American was still in college.

Fortunately, Isner's mom won the battle against cancer but the big-serving American still remembers the negative experience and he wants to help others who are battling with the disease. Isner, who was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, now resides with his family In Dallas.

"I think mainly it’s because I have definite roots now in Dallas, Texas. This is where my family is going to be. Also on top of that I’ve gotten to know a lot of nice people in this town and I think it’s just a good opportunity for me, for my family to do a lot of good," Isner exclusively told thE ATP Tour.

Isner, a 15-time ATP champion, also underlined that he will continue the charity work when he retires from professional tennis.
