Former world No. 1 Andy Murray admits he is "super soft" as a father but he absolutely loves spending time with his kids. "Super soft, yeah super soft, unfortunately," Murray told Tennis Channel. Murray, who has three kids, recently revealed his wife, Kim, wanted them to have four kids.
"Seeing the kids sitting at the table, behaving and eating their food and going to bed at the right time, those sort of things make me proud. My eldest daughter plays tennis once a week and if she wanted to I'd be happy – but at their ages, it's important to be doing stuff with their friends," Murray told The Morning.
"My wife wanted four. I was fine with three; she always wanted a big family. But it's all done now, so…"
Murray has had a rocky start to 2022
Murray has had a couple of early exits this year and some of the losses were really disappointing for the Scot.
In Australia, Murray was beaten by Facundo Bagnis in the Melbourne Summer Set first round and at the Australian Open he was beaten in the second round by Yoshihito Nishioka. "I really feel like my tennis can be a lot better.
I don't feel like I lost because I was really struggling with my movement but I believe that my tennis can improve providing I put in the right work and consistently work on the right things for a period of time and I believe that will happen.
It probably won't happen overnight because some of the mistakes that I've been making technically have been probably happening for 18 months or so, so it takes a bit of time to break those habits. I'll need to put in a lot of work on them to change that," Murray explained recently. Murray is playing in Dubai this week.
