In an interview to the LTA, Great Britain's Davis Cup team captain Leon Smith commented on the upcoming grass season from the British side. "It's great to have three guys who have established on the top 100. It's led by Kyle Edmund.
They have got Cam Norrie who over the last couple of years has managed to build and become a top 50 player which is great and then what Dan Evans has done in the last 12 months. He has won unbelievable matches to get back inside the world's top 100 and on his surface and on his surface, grass, he will be confident moving into that.
We have also got Jay Clarke who sits at a career high ranking and winning a Challenger. We have also got doubles players. Jamie Murray who starts a new partnership with Neal Skupski who is very exciting. We have also got Joe Salisbury who is moving into the top 20 in doubles as well", said Smith.
On Andy Murray playing the doubles draw with Feliciano Lopez at Queen's, Smith added: "We have missed him hugely but it is nearing that time he is looking to get back and play competitively in doubles which are a great way to get back into competing and I am sure it's going to get a bumped crowd, it's been such a long time since we have been out seeing what he does best."
