Richard Gasquet: 'I don't know how Andy Murray feels'

In an interview Richard Gasquet commented on his upcoming first round match in Cincinnati against Andy Murray. The Frenchman, who is down 3-8 on the head to head meetings with the Brit, said: “I don’t know how he feels (physically).

Not sure if he’s 100% or not. I played him many times and it’s great for me to see him back on the court. It’s important for tennis, everybody likes him. (Murray) is a true champion of tennis. I am very happy to see him back and play against him.

It;s nice to play against a familaropponent (like Andy). “ Murray last competed on Tour in singles against Roberto Bautista Agut in the Australian Open first round earlier this year. Asked what his goals are in Cincinnati, Gasquet replied: “Just try to do my best here and see what happens.

Just try to keep playing matches. I played okay in Montreal, so I hope to continue that. I feel healthy…no injuries so that’s good Body feels good, which is most important. Just want to try to play well and see what happens.

“ Asked what he likes of Cincinnati, Gasquet concluded: “Food spots Compared to France, I think France is much better, but it’s always nice here. When you lose….you go to Kings Island. I went there…even though I am a bit scared of roller coasters, but you know it’s fun. I don’t like it, but I did it."
