Nick Kyrgios to Andy Murray: I think you are better than Novak Djokovic

Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has an extremely high opinion of Andy Murray as he has made it clear that he thinks the Briton is a better player than world No. 1 Novak Djokovic. Murray is a three-time Grand Slam champion and a former world No.

1, while Djokovic owns 17 Majors in his collection. Djokovic owns a dominant 25-11 head-to-head record against Murray. Murray has been one of the most consistent players at the Australian Open over the last decade but he still hasn't won it all at Melbourne Park -- mostly because of Djokovic -- as the Briton was beaten by the Serb in four of his five finals played in Melbourne.

"I have already told you I think you should have had one of the best careers ever," Kyrgios said during his Instagram Live session with Murray. "I'm not looking to make this controversial but honestly I think you are better than Djokovic, in my opinion.

Kyrgios, 25, has played against Djokovic twice and he owns a perfect record against the world No. 1, having won each of their past two clashes.

On the other side, Kyrgios has won only of his six matches played against Murray -- that win came at the Queen's Club in 2018 -- in what was Murray's first tournament since undergoing a hip surgery in 2017.
