Andrew Florent, Former Mark Philippoussis' coach, passed away

Serious mourning for Australian tennis. Andrew Florent, former tennis player who has been World No. 13 in the doubles rankings in 2001, passed away on Wednesday morning. Florent was 45, he was battling with a bowel cancer since 2013 but unfortunately gave up.

He was husband and father of two Sons, one of them, Jai, was a promising player in the AFL when he was a junior. Florent, who reached 10 ATP Doubles final winning three titles, tried everything, he kept playing during the chemoteraphy session at the 2014 Australian Open in the legend doubles draw.

He was very loved by his colleagues: The international tennis community banded together in 2013 to raise money for his illness, especially Paul Kilderry, Pat Rafter, Josh Eagle and David MacPherson. ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: 'I can win a Grand Slam, I feel competitive.
