Australia's Bernard Tomic has once again found himself in the middle of a controversy. The 25-year-old's entourage has been accused of spiking a drink of a girl this past weekend. Tomic and his entourage enjoyed a night out at a Gold Coast nightclub.
Paige McCarthy, 21, spent a night in hospital after allegedly her drink was spiked at Bedroom Nightclub. Her parents claimed in a social media post that one of Tomic's friends was the one who caused the incident. It is believed that the girl may have in the nightclub's private booth with the tennis player and his entourage when the alleged incident reportedly occurred.
The nightclub is well aware of the alleged incident. “We’re aware of the alleged incident and are very concerned by the seriousness of it,” Bedroom Nightclub Spokesman Matt Keegan told the Courier Mail.
“Since Sunday, staff have thoroughly reviewed the CCTV footage which tracks the patron (Ms. McCarthy) throughout the night. “Our review of her movements revealed no indication of drink-spiking by any third party in the venue." McCarthy's parents also contacted Queensland Police while the girl was still in the hospital.
